HOA Annual Minutes/Monthly Minutes
Annual/ Monthly CAHA Board Meetings: Due to COVID-19 restrictions and closure of our regular meeting rooms we will be postponing our Annual Meeting until later in the year. We will send notice of the Annual meeting once restrictions are lifted and rooms are available. Our regular monthly HOA Board meetings have been conducted by conference call due to restrictions. The altered format need not limit the ability of CAHA homeowners to participate or raise matters to the Board’s attention. The Board’s desire and function is to keep neighborhood lines of communication open; therefore, if homeowners would like to communicate with the board please email or call us at your convenience. If you would like to participate in a monthly meeting, please let us know prior and we will make arrangements to get you on the call.
Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
Board Member Elections: 2021 brings the election of the Board’s President and Treasurer Positions. Chad Grace and Gale Simons-Poole hold those positions respectively. If anyone wishes to submit their name for consideration of either position prior to the Annual Meeting, please contact any of the Board members listed at the bottom of this letter.
Elections for board positions take place at Annual Meetings provided we have more than fifty percent of voting members in attendance. The positions of Vice President held by Ellie Clines, Secretary by Bill Breier and Member at Large by Merrill Neary have tenure through the end of 2021.
Community Landscaping Refreshes: Below is a listing of some of the landscape remodel/updates completed in Cinnamon Acres throughout 2020. Special Thanks to the Pooles and all who contributed great time and effort in ensure the beauty of our development is not just maintained, but enhanced!
- The Cinnamon Acres main entrance common area was re-landscaped with beautiful, but sturdy perennial new flora that will bloom for years to come
- The Saffron Circle common area also had old rock refreshed and new mulch, while the stump of the former Pine tree was removed and replaced with a lovely new honey locust tree
- Much-needed repairs were made to the streets and community mailbox on Chutney Drive by our SID.
- The curb at 163rd & Sage as well as the street and curbs at the Comhusker Drive entrance all had repairs completed, as well
- Plans are in the works to re-landscape the common areas on Tarragon Court & 163rd Circle
Thank you to all who submitted your landscaping and outdoor enhancement plans for approval in 2020 – your efforts in beautifying not only your home, but the overall neighborhood is seen and appreciated! We would also like to thank the SID for their communication with us on the road repairs they performed and responsiveness to our concerns.
Cinnamon Acres Pond Dredging: We are working with the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to schedule the dredging of the Cinnamon Acres pond. We were told this will take place in 2021 but have not been given a date yet when work will commence.
Our pond is dredged to remove sediment every five-ten years and the CAHA has a 35-year cost-sharing agreement with DNR wherein the HOA pays for 50 percent of the cost after the pond has been dredged.
