About the Neighborhood

Est. 1992

Fun facts: Omaha address. Gretna schools. Unincorparted (vs incorporated) Sarpy County.

Situated alongside the Chalco Hills Recreation Area, the neighborhood enjoys wildlife and access to safe walking, jogging or biking trails not to mention wonderful playgrounds. While the properties themselves do not have sidewalks (less to shovel in the winter) the streets are wide and accommodating for pedestrians. Every day, including winter days, you will see several walkers, joggers and bikers often times with kids and/or pets enjoying the neighborhood.

Cinnamon Acres is fortunate to enjoy a variety of home styles situated on acreage lots. While the Covenants define standards, no two properties in the neighborhood are alike. Some properties include (or have room to add) significant outbuildings. You will find properties with swimming pools, water features, large gardens, swing sets and more, nestled in a setting not easy to find in the city. Cinnamon Acres is an upscale neighborhood that keeps it simple, welcoming and family friendly.

Tired of traffic? While it’s not completely avoidable, Cinnamon Acres is only 6 blocks away from Highway 370 which makes Interstate 80 easily accessible helping to avoid inner city traffic. A downtown commute can take 20 – 45 minutes pending traffic.

Things add up! Cinnamon Acres is located in Sarpy County and, consequently, enjoys a reduced sales tax of 5.5% vs Douglas County where the sales tax is 7%.

Cinnamon Acres is within the Gretna school system. The elementary school, Palisades, is directly across 168th Street. Busing picks up Middle and High School students at various corners throughout the neighborhood.

There is not a lot of turnover in the neighborhood. You might see 3 of the 82 property on the market in a year.
